In the position of commissioning engineer you are responsible worldwide for the assembly, testing and adjustment of equipment.
You lead a small team of specialists (both internal and external contractors) and guide them together with your customers for a good end result.
You are able to combine both the requirements and wishes of the customer and yourself in such a way that everyone is satisfied with the result.
You are a versatile technician. You are able to translate problems into improvements.
As a commissioning engineer you are also prepared to travel 50%
Responsibilities: • Make improvements and advise on operational procedures; • Planning and coordinating work with tight deadlines; • Ensure that equipment works according to specifications; • Creating and conducting test procedures; • Fix errors; • Maintaining contact with installation teams and project engineers; • Writing reports and documentation; • Provide technical support; • Ensure safe working conditions; • Training of maintenance and operating personnel, if applicable. Requirements • Bachelor / Master level (Electro-mechanical) or MTS level 4 with a proven track record as a Commissioning Engineer / Field Service Engineer and / or Site Management experience; • Experience with PLC (Siemens S7 / Allen Bradley), Servo and HMI systems is a plus; • Being able to work independently is necessary; • Problem-solving ability and practical insight; • Willing to travel and stay abroad for longer periods; • Good knowledge of the English language and preferably also the Dutch language.
